No there is no age limit in order to be selected for a feature. You simply must be able to perform at an acceptable level in order for you to receive a fulfilling experience with the orchestra.
If you are unable to commit to playing in the orchestra on 3 of the 4 Season Concerts, then you can still be offered a feature but will be required to pay a tuition. This will be applied towards administration costs and the expense of hiring a musician to play in the orchestra on your behalf.
Yes! You have the option of taking private or group coaching lessons with Maestro Dean Anderson either in person or on Zoom in the time leading up to your featured concert. There would be a separate cost for these lessons.
No. If you are able to fulfill the 3-concert playing obligation, you can be featured without paying any tuition. There would still be costs associated with any private or group coaching lessons you attend.
If you can only commit to a partial season, you would pay a reduced amount of the total tuition, basically each concert missed would cost 1/3 of the total tuition amount.
Yes! Non-featured players are welcome as long as they can perform at the appropriate level for the repertoire. this would be determined through video auditions and evaluated by the ACA Director.
Season repertoire is chosen by the Director of ACA, who also assigns repertoire to featured participants. However, you have the opportunity to make special requests for consideration.
